Legendary Tango Performer and Teacher Lorena Ermocida

Lorena Ermocida is a professional dancer with international fame, a tango instructor, and choreographer who has made a significant impact in the world of dance. Her journey in tango began in 1987, but it was in 1989 when she fully devoted herself to this pass


ionate dance form. Ermocida honed her skills by studying with some of the best tango teachers of her time, including Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Gustavo Naveira and Olga Besio, Mingo and Ester Pugliese, and Antonio Todaro.


After graduating from the Profesorado Nacional de Danza Clásica y Contemporánea (National Institution of Classical and Contemporary Dance), Ermocida's career took off. She worked as a dancer in La Galeria del Tango Argentino and even portrayed Evita in various documentaries and movies. Ermocida's talent and dedication caught the attention of the legendary maestro Juan Carlos Copes, with whom she worked as a choreography assistant and dancer in the show "Orquesta" in 1995.


Ermocida's fame continued to grow as she joined the TangoX2 company in 1995 and 1996, and later formed a successful dancing team with Osvaldo Zotto until May 2008. Together, they performed around the world at prestigious venues and festivals, including the Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra in Los Angeles and the Buenos Aires Tango festival in France.


Ermocida's remarkable career also included performances at renowned theaters such as the Metropolitan Opera House in New York and the Paris Opera. She and Zotto were recognized for their outstanding contributions to tango dance with the Leonide Massine award in Positano, Italy.

In addition to her performances, Ermocida is a sought-after tango instructor and has taught workshops and classes in Europe and Australia. She continues to share her passion for tango through seminars and guest appearances at festivals around the world.
